Dr Zilia Iskoujina

I hold my PhD degree from Durham University. My thesis was on knowledge sharing in virtual organisations: the case of open source software communities, where I studied various factors influencing knowledge sharing. I conducted my research through various qualitative and quantitative research methods and as a result I created a model for successful knowledge sharing inside open source software communities. Prior joining Newcastle University in 2010, during my PhD studies, I was involved in teaching activities in Information Systems. I am an Associate in Higher Education Academy. Currently, I am working in the Research Hub for Inclusion through the Digital Economy on online communities.
