AI in education practical approaches and emerging possibilities webinar

A forthcoming webinar on 24 July 2025 will examine the practical and pedagogic opportunities presented by artificial intelligence in higher education.

Organised by the British Academy of Management E Business and Information Systems Management Special Interest Group in collaboration with the Socio Technical Systems Technical Committee of the IEEE Society on the Social Implications of Technology, the event brings together researchers exploring the changing role of AI in academic practice.

The session will begin with presentations on the selection and use of AI tools for pedagogic content creation, considering the opportunities and complexities associated with text generation, audio production, video development, and other educational media.

A further presentation will demonstrate tailored AI driven solutions for education and research through the Safe to Fail AI platform, highlighting how specialised chatbots and related tools can support academic work.

The webinar will also include an interactive discussion session and a collaborative discovery exercise designed to encourage reflection on AI literacy, institutional readiness, perceived risks, and future opportunities for teaching and learning.
