New international collaboration launched on low carbon logistics systems
A new international research collaboration involving Professor Savvas Papagiannidis with colleagues from Newcastle University Business School and National Taiwan University has been launched to investigate emerging challenges in the transition towards low carbon logistics systems.
The project brings together expertise in sustainable supply chains, energy transitions, and digital technologies to examine how increasingly complex logistics systems can be coordinated as countries work towards net zero targets. Particular attention will be given to the interaction between data driven decision tools, infrastructure uncertainty, regulatory alignment, and human judgement in managing low carbon transformation.
By connecting expertise from the United Kingdom and Taiwan, the initiative aims to contribute new insights into adaptive and resilient logistics strategies capable of supporting long term sustainability goals.
