Research Associate Post

We wish to appoint a Research Associate to contribute to the Business Perspective of our £12.6million RCUK funded Research Hub for 'Inclusion through the Digital Economy'. This represents an exciting new opportunity for a business researcher to make an impact in a large multidisciplinary environment. The main focus of these appointments is to identify, map and implement emerging strategies and business models enabled by digital technologies in different sectors and domains. All successful candidates should have a good First or Master degree in business management, e-Business, information systems or economics, ideally from a Business School and a PhD in a relevant discipline essential. You should be familiar with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods. You must be self-motivated, flexible and open to new ideas; a team player and an excellent communicator both in engaging with colleagues from other disciplines and with external organizations; and in writing high quality academic papers, research reports, new research proposals and disseminating results to different stakeholders. Domain knowledge of ICTs in connected homes, assistive technologies and assisted living, the creative industries and/or transport are desirable but not essential.
